Lake Latonka Social Club
Members of the Lake Latonka Social Club share unity and a love for their community! We meet throughout the year and engage in numerous social activities, as well as projects that add amenities and enhance the beauty surrounding the lake.
The Social Club offers a welcoming environment that promotes socialization, friendships, civic pride, and fun – creating memorable experiences, and a strengthened sense of community. Several events that are highly anticipated include: New Year’s Eve party, Poker Run, St. Patrick’s Day party, Soupebration, Halloween Party, Latonka Luau (in collaboration with Duke and Lola’s), the Kentucky Derby party and live music events. We also organize enjoyable group excursions away from the lake.
The Social Club has made a significant impact to the betterment of the lake community, such as spearheading the development of the Nature Trail, installation of the ice rink, and implementing the annual lake clean-up day. Generous monetary donations have been given toward the Nature Trail, the ice rink, the 4th of July firework display, Fish Club, as well as local firefighters, food banks…
Meetings are held once a month on the third Friday, January through November, at the Lake Latonka Community Center at 7:30 PM. Typically, there is a business meeting followed by a festivity, game, or entertainment.
The Social Club is currently over 100+ members strong and growing! All Lake Latonka property owners over the age of 21 and in good standing, are invited to join. Do not suffer from FOMO! Check the Lake Latonka website or bulletin boards for information on meeting times and upcoming events. Please do not hesitate to contact Marlene Schecter at mschechter126@gmail.com with any questions.
Latonka Players
The Latonka Players is a performance / service club that has been active at Lake Latonka since the 1970s. Once dedicated strictly to the performing art, the club now wears several hats in addition to our live performances.
We meet every two months to discuss plans for upcoming activities. Our big performance event of the year is our spring show, held on or near Memorial Day Weekend in the activity barn on the east side of Lake Latonka. We have transformed part of the barn into a true theater setting, complete with lighting, sound, stage, curtains, and sets for various productions. The show is attended by 100-200 friends and neighbors every year, and performances run the gamut from variety to bands to full length Broadway plays.
The Latonka Players also organize and oversee the annual Fall Festival, always the Saturday after Labor Day. This event takes place at the barn and community building area, showcasing crafters and other businesses. Now over 40 years old, the Fall Festival is known throughout Mercer County, and is also our main fundraiser for the year. Proceeds from this event fund our spring show, donations to the July 4th weekend activities, outdoor movie nights at the beach, square dances, Oktoberfest, beach parties, karaoke nights, water ski school, donations to other clubs & events, and various infrastructure projects throughout the community.
The things to know about our club are: 1) Everyone is welcome, and 2) you don't have to be an actor or singer to help out. There are plenty of behind the scenes jobs, and no matter what we're out to have fun and provide fun for the community. We love being able to help out financially and culturally, our goal being to use our shows as must-see community events, doing all we can to keep our community feeling small and close-knit. Please don't hesitate to stop at the office for a phone or email contact. We'd love to hear from you, and welcome to the lake!

Lunch Bunch
The Lunch Bunch is a group of folks who enjoy pleasant company and good food. We gather around 11:00 AM on the second Tuesday of each month at various restaurants, typically within a 25 mile radius of Lake Latonka. Since our founding in October 1995, the group has met in nearly a hundred venues so it never gets boring. If you enjoy dining out and friendly conversation, please join us. Contact information is posted on the bulletin boards and online.
Women's Club
The Lake Latonka Women’s Club was founded October 14, 1972 and is the longest standing club at the lake. The founding members stated the purpose of the club was to improve the community and promote a wholesome atmosphere for the entire family. Since 1972, the Women’s Club has upheld the principles that started this club. The club donates to surrounding charities, contributes to improving the children’s playground, and purchases small and large items for the lake to enhance its beauty and functionality.
The Women’s Club hosts four free children’s activities yearly, an Easter Egg Hunt, July 4th games, Halloween and Christmas activities open to all children and grandchildren of the lake. These activities are made possible by the two fundraisers the club holds; a Spaghetti dinner in April and a fall basket raffle held during Lake Latonka’s Fall Festival.
If interested in joining, please contact the office and they will guide you to the current contact person.
